More things that ran over my mind

Had lunch with my manager cum buddy today. There were some moments of awkward pauses, but other than that she's rather chatty and engaging. That should serve as some consolation since I used to think that all managers are haughty and not to be trifled with.

Lunched at some bar/lounge at Customs House. I never knew the place existed until today. In fact I didn't know that there was a stretch of chill-out bars just across my office building and a rather nice view of MBS. Shall explore the place in greater detail next time.

Stayed back in office stayed 9pm today. But I'm not complaining for this particular day, because I understand that the financial statements have to be out urgently. And my senior is nice, even helped me to install msn lol! Not like other days when I stay to do nonsense. But the feeling is just a little weird - I go to bed after a day hard at work and the next day I plunge into work again. Know what I mean? Plus the revenue cutoff that I have to conduct over the weekends, it's 7 day work week for me.

Within a day, I realise people are beginning to form impressions of me in their heads already. My senior asked if I was a first-class student, apparently I had the look. My manager asked if I was from a girl's school, apparently I had the look again. Someone guessed that I stay in the east. Once more it's that look from the face?

Now I wonder what kind of first impressions I'm giving people. What was yours when you first got acquainted with me??
